DJI advertises that the DJI FPV has a range of 16.8km. Still, in best-case scenarios, you can fly as far as 4 kilometers to return your drone safely, making an 8km total flight distance, rarely more. 
But doing this will put your drone at risk and may go against some countries’ drone laws.
